My second day in Yellowstone was really about seeing geysers and hot springs. The weather cooperated i the morning and we had sunshine for the first time in days. First we visited some small hot springs in the way to Old Faithful.
There is and awesome inn at the Old Faithful sure that is right next to an awesome visitor center. Old Faithful, of course, put on a big show before we had lunch at the Old Faithful Inn.
We made a stop at the Black Sand Basin for some small but very active geysers. It was windy, so the steam obscured our view.
Grand Prismatic Spring is the largest hot spring in the world. It lives up to its name even if the 32 degree weather meant a lot of steam.
If you ever have the opportunity to see Yellowstone, you need to take it. These photos were taken on my phone. I can’t wait to get to photos off of my DSLR when I get home. Yellowstone has beat out the likes of Yosemite, Zion, and Bryce Canyon as my favorite National Park.
