I remember waiting in line for advance tickets for The Phantom Menace. I remember wearing the wristband for two weeks just so I could see it on opening day. While the film was not what I was expecting, time has endeared it to me when it comes to the costumes and the characters.
Queen Padme Amidala, played by both Natalie Portman and, when Amidala was hiding in plain sight as a handmaiden, the Queen was portrayed by Keira Knightly. The switcheroo was a twist I did not see coming, probably because the costumes were so outrageous and great that the distraction was worth it.
This drawing and prints of it are available at my Etsy store.
