Deadpool’s timeline is dying. And why? Because Logan, a.k.a. The Wolverine, died when he gave his life to save X-23 in Logan. What’s a Deadpool to do? Steal a device that allows you to go from timeline to timeline to find a different Wolverine and Dogpool, of course.
Deadpool & Wolverine is exactly what you would expect. It’s profane. Funny. Bloody. Violent. With the addition of Wolverine, it has a lot of heart. It’s so meta that it out metas it’s predecessors. And it gives cameos for characters long lost in the annuls of 20th Century Fox comic book adaptations. I won’t spoil which ones, but they are worth waiting for. Especially that one. It was on fire. Wink wink.
This has everything you loved about Deadpool’s other films, and everything you loved about Wolverine. The two together like this finally gives those of us who showed up for every other X-Men film something to cheer for. The ushering in of IPs to the Disney Marvel machine. I’m glad it was Hugh Jackman in the yellow costume to do it.
