It Ends With Us is a love story about a woman who has had two great loves in life. When the love from her past pops back up just when her current love starts showing abusive tendencies, she must choose to make the same mistakes as her mother and stay in an unhealthy relationship, or leave with her own newborn daughter for a better future.
This book is a great love story until it isn’t. Until you see the main character making the same mistakes her mother did and talking herself into staying because she is so in love. Because the good outweighs the bad. Until it doesn’t.
The third act of this book is heartbreaking. Colleen Hoover openly admits how personal this book was for her to write and you can feel it in every word on the page.
Four out of five stars. And that says a lot since I don’t often go all in on romance novels.
