A Discussion about Bram Stoker’s Dracula

With the release of two Dracula related films this year – Renfield and The Last Voyage of the Demeter – a friend and I decided to record a podcast about how Bram Stoker’s Dracula had an effect on film and television. We started with Nosferatu and worked our way through Bela Lugosi and Christopher Lee versions until we made it to modern films like Hotel Transylvania and (for better or worse) Blade Trinity and the news film, The Last Voyage of the Demeter. We end our discussion on Shadow of the Vampire, a satirical film about how Nosferatu was made. You can listen in to the podcast here.

Expect more discussions about vampires come October when Mike are joined by a couple others as we make our way through a few other vampire films. I may even do my Halloween Horror series about vampires this year as well. Tis the season.

Previous fan art, in including the Gary Oldman painting I did a couple years back, is available at my Etsy Store.
