Beauty Within, Acrylic and Pastel

The idea for this piece came to me after a fight with a friend who decided she was angry with me over something she did not have the full story on. Even after the full context of the situation was given to her, she had already said too many hurtful things for the situation to be salvageable. Underneath all of the pain and the hard edged boundaries, I managed to find forgiveness within myself even though I did not want the friendship back in my life. I had moved on without even realizing it, and I felt free for the first time in months.

And if you have been following along with my blog, you know I don’t much delve into the inspiration for a lot of my work. So this is one of the few times you will get a glimpse into the personal nature of my art.
