Ruth Ware is the best mystery whodunit writer of our time. She keeps outdoing herself.
The It Girl follows Hannah, a woman who moved to Scotland to escape the media attention that the sudden death of her college roommate, April, a decade before. When Hannah discovers that the man who was convicted of April’s murder may have not been the murderer at all, she goes down a road that causes her to doubt every relationship she has, including her husband.
This book is brilliantly written. As soon as I thought I had it figured out, Ware turned it on its head. I was kept guessing to the very end. It was hard to put down.
Great winter reading with this one, book lover.
